美國印第安納州一名新生兒在出生一周後，其母親發現他的身體出現異樣，他的下巴和嘴巴四周長出了奇怪的小水皰。因症狀尚不明顯，醫生還未能作出診斷，但初步確定是『蝴蝶』皮膚病。
環球網據美國雅虎新聞網報導，這名叫做萊恩的新生兒現在已經有六個月大了，醫生根據其病情的發展做出了初步的診斷：由於萊恩身體內各機不能平衡地運行，致使皮膚不能正常地吸收到蛋白質成分，因此在他的皮膚上長出了令人感到疼痛的小水皰。並且隨著萊恩年齡的增長，身體各機能出現更加強烈的變動，他皮膚上會長出更多的水皰。這種病情，醫學上叫作大皰性表皮鬆解症，俗稱『蝴蝶』皮膚病，因為長滿水皰的皮膚就像蝴蝶的皮膚一樣脆弱。美國大皰性表皮鬆解症資訊處透露，這種病在5萬個新生兒裡面才會發生一例，目前在醫學上還沒有找到相應的治癒方法。
據萊恩的母親介紹，萊恩在家人的鼓勵與寵愛下，大多數時候都是一個愛笑的，開心的小孩。但是隨著水皰越長越多，他感到疼痛難忍，就變得煩躁不安，並懼怕親人的撫摸。有時候母親會幫他擠掉水皰，並用繃帶纏住，抑制水皰的蔓延。由於萊恩現在的病情還算輕微，母親向美國的醫療補助中心申請為萊恩做一個基因檢測來確定病情，然而遭到拒絕。
在這之後，她開始在『臉書』網站上分享兒子的故事，由此引起了眾多網友對『蝴蝶』皮膚病患者的關注。最終，透過網友的的資金贊助，她終於籌到3000美元為兒子做一個為期12周的基因檢測，並且在這個夏天他們就會得到檢測結果。她表示：檢測結果對於我們來說很重要，儘管我們很害怕他的病情會無藥可治，但總比什麼都不知道要好。

高鐵轉轍器晚上又出包 影響2000人

高鐵轉轍器又出包！今天晚間8時3分，台灣高鐵台北站轉轍器突然發生訊號異常情形，台北站至板橋站區間南下軌道8時16分起採單線雙向運轉，並立即派遣維修人員進場搶修，目前已搶修完畢排除異常，恢復全線正常通車。
