美國頂尖學府麻省理工(MIT)發生1周內有2名新生自殺，校方決定減少課業量，以減輕學生負擔。

據美國《紐約每日新聞》報導，本月初18歲學生托南特(Christina Tournant)和內林(Matthew Nehring)先後在校園內自殺。校長賴夫(L. Rafael Reif)向全校發電郵，表示現在是需要互相關懷和諒解的時刻，校方呼籲教授減少給學生功課。據了解，有教授延後交報告和考試時間，或讓學生選擇是否交報告或考試。一位教授更取消了一節課，與學生到附近的藝術館進行校外教學。

據悉MIT的自殺率在美國學校中算高，《波士頓環球報》就分析，過去5年，該校每10萬學生有12.5人自殺，比6.5至7.5的全國平均率高。（施旖婕／綜合外電報導）

基隆大霧意外現琉璃光 美景動人

基隆連日大霧，昨天除了造成基隆港三度封港外，也意外吸引不少攝影愛好者上山搶拍。日前攝影愛好者方思堯半夜趁著基隆起大霧，摸黑騎車上五分山，拍下一張「雲海鎖基隆，如夜光琉璃」的美照，一貼上網路就引起 大批網友按讚，紛紛分享。

方思堯今年從國立台灣海洋大學研究所畢業，上周起發現基隆市經常有大霧，他前天半夜騎機車到新北市瑞芳、平溪交界處的五分山去等著拍雲海。

施明德基金會 推二二八音樂劇

為了感念過去台灣人民對228的「起義」，施明德文化基金會特地選在318舉行記者會，表示將推動二二八音樂劇「英靈總動員」並在2017年228公演。

施明德文化基金會表示，關於二二八的歷史，藍綠兩黨只會道歉而不會致敬，一場台灣人的民主抗爭運動，卻被當成冤錯假案，許多英靈被搞成冤魂；他們將要以「台灣人英雄復興」的概念，推出二二八音樂劇來恢復台灣人的信心與歷史真相。

之所以選在318宣布這項計畫，施明德文化基金會表示，318學運周年的同時也是美麗島大審的首日，考量就是去年台灣青年的「起義」，這勇敢的行動讓他們回想起228的烈士，因此希望能將這股英雄氣質傳承下去。
