總統馬英九今日上午在內政部長李鴻源和警政署長王卓鈞等陪同下，出席警察專科學校68周年校慶，在滿場警校生大聲呼喊總統好的歡呼下，不用擔心抗議群眾，馬總統顯然心情很好。

馬總統勉勵警校生不只要專業，還要有人文品味，民眾水準不段提升，警察也不能落人後，警校在知識和視野上都要走在人民前面。

馬總統表示，警專為國家培養優秀人才，而警察的工作繁重又繁瑣，警校校友除了在警界外，在消防和海巡也都有不錯表現，打擊犯罪、保護良民讓他感到欣慰。總統說去年開始採取報案三聯單，使報案資訊準確可靠，暴力、竊盜、詐欺等犯罪逐步減少，總統透露他很關心治安問題，每個禮拜都看犯罪分析，過去一年刑事案件破獲率提高，尤其是暴力犯罪破獲率已達到96.94%，是17年來最好治安績效。

對於酒駕犯罪，總統表示酒駕是死亡率最高的犯罪，每一個人死亡代表一個家庭的破裂，「喝酒就不要碰方向盤」。總統說過去兩年來政府集中全力打擊酒駕，在修法後嚴格執行取締，今年1到9月的酒駕移送法辦4萬多件，創下近年新高紀錄，今年酒駕人數也比過去減少一半以上，希望今年酒駕死亡人數能夠降到260人以下。
