國際中心／綜合報導 英國籍男子派威（Geoffrey Portway）因為涉嫌設置牢房，企圖性侵與虐殺兒童，而遭到美國法院判處27年徒刑。 參與美國司法部網路保護兒童行動的聯邦調查局（FBI）、國土安全調查處（HSI）探員，2012年在網上發現一位代號「肥人肉」的網友，涉嫌散布兒童色情圖片；深入追查後，發現他是40歲英國籍男子派威，意圖綁架、性侵男童，最終謀殺並吃童肉。 HSI探員搜索派威在麻州的房屋，有著驚人發現。派威家中的地下室中，有鋼鐵牢籠、附6個固定扣環的金屬手術台、閹割工具、解剖刀和屠刀、以及為兒童準備的棺木，屋外還有冷凍櫃。 派威並與其他戀童癖同好分享兒童色情、凌虐的影片，以及兒童的遺照，調查人員在他的電腦中發現4500張兒童的照片。 渥斯特聯邦地區法院法官希爾曼（Timothy Hillman）18日宣判，派威服刑320個月(約27年)，服刑期滿後必須驅逐回英國。 聯邦檢察官奧蒂茲（Carmen Ortiz）表示，「能夠及時趕到阻止悲劇發生，對此感到欣慰。」

【綜合報導】「關於重新構築安全保障法律基礎懇談會」昨（17日）在日本東京召開，討論集團自衛權問題。日本首相安倍晉三稱：「任何憲法解釋都不能犧牲國民的生存和國家的存立。要直視憲法制定以來的變化，討論符合新時代的憲法解釋。」中國媒體則解讀其「加快修憲步伐」。 這場「安保法律懇談會」成立於2007年，目的即討論修改憲法，2008年該會正式向政府提交報告，呼籲修改「禁止行使集體自衛權」的憲法解釋。該懇談會去年因安倍重新上臺得以重啟，但為避免對今年7月舉行的參院選舉造成負面影響，懇談會一直沒有召開，直到昨天才在東京登場。

大陸中心／綜合報導 大陸知名的娃哈哈集團董事長宗慶后，驚傳在上周五(13日)清晨遭人斬傷左手，傷了四個手指頭，今(18)日最新消息傳出，公安已經拘捕一名49歲的嫌疑犯。 宗慶后13日在住家附近遭人砍傷，4個手指的肌腱遭人砍斷；報導稱，肌腱斷裂可經由手術修復，后期再經由復健治療便可恢復手指功能，不至於殘廢。中新社今日則報導，宗慶后辦公室的工作人員接受詢問時表示：「宗總現在正在上班。」而宗慶後本人則向新華網表示，目前恢復情況良好，「感謝社會各界對自己和娃哈哈集團的關心和支持」。 宗慶后遭砍的原因，目前警方還在調查，不過有人爆料稱，這場事件並非單純的打劫傷人，而是高層員工不滿報復所致，宗慶后旗下的娃哈哈商業公司營運目前處於停滯狀態，公司高層遭到集體免職。 而就在外界眾說紛紜之際，新華網報導指出，公安單位已經拘捕了嫌犯楊某，蘇州人，今年上半年到杭州找工作，想得到宗慶后的援助，在其公司安排一個工作，因未如願，遂向宗慶后襲擊。 報導說，嫌犯向警方透露，一直在杭州找不到工作，之前看電視見到宗慶后熱心幫助農民工，於是在對方寓所外等候並求助，但宗慶后沒答應，所以起了犯意。

【綜合報導】美國一名64歲男子羅森洛夫(Dennis Rosenlof)，在過去30年來吃了逾12000個麥當勞的大麥克漢堡，平均每周吃10個。 羅森洛夫的吃法是，每天早上10點半左右就會去買大麥克套餐，周一吃1份，周二吃2份，周三吃1份，周四吃2份，周五吃1~2份，周六吃2份，周日吃老婆煮的菜，就這樣過了30年。 羅森洛夫說，這個吃漢堡的習慣30年來沒間斷，而他的身體狀況一切正常。

 路透社報導，印度財政部週二（9月17日）宣佈，將黃金首飾的進口稅調高一倍至15%，未加工黃金的進口稅依然維持在10%，主要是為了保護國內的手工生產業，特別是小型的家庭商鋪。此前印度政府曾三度上調黃金進口稅至創記錄的10%。同時印度央行（RBI）也對進口商制定了嚴苛的規定，包括強制進口商將20%的進口黃金用作出口用途，使得該國黃金供應出現嚴重短缺。去年，珠寶首飾佔印度整體出口的17%比重。
印度全國珠寶首飾貿易聯盟主席Haresh Soni表示，政府上調黃金首飾的進口稅有利於提振國內的手工製造業，總體而言是利好的。印度的珠寶行業包括約40萬零售珠寶商，其中絕大多數是由一些自主經營手工黃金首飾的家庭商鋪組成。
印度政府9月10日公佈的數據顯示，8月份黃金進口額較前月的22億美元大減七成至6.5億美元，主要因為政府祭出調高關稅以及限制進口等措施，希望藉抑制黃金消費來避免經常帳赤字的進一步攀高。不過，印度總理經濟顧問C. Rangarajan上週五（9月13日）表示，截至明年三月底的本財政年度，印度金銀進口額預估約為400億美元，其中黃金進口額預估為380億美元，此將與上個財政年度的380億美元進口額相當。
渣打銀行（Standard Chartered）最新報告則認為，由於節日季即將到來，加上今年雨季豐收，印度的黃金進口可能很快就會恢復到較高水平。根據印度農業部數據，今年的雨季使印度農民增收7%。高收入將使印度農民在即將到來的節日季購買更多黃金，印度的黃金消費有七成是來自於農村。
