南韓網購 竟限用IE瀏覽器

華盛頓郵報報導，南韓以數位科技創新聞名，寬頻網路遍布全國，地鐵上提供4G無線網路服務，卻受困於十四年前訂定的法規，網購必須使用微軟的Internet Explorer（IE）瀏覽器。

南韓人若使用其他瀏覽器，例如Chrome或Safari上網購物，經常會有警語跳出，警告用戶也許無法成交。韓亞航空公司網站就出現這樣的警語：「只能透過IE購買。」

最初由微軟在一九九○年代發展的IE，已受到Google的Chrome和蘋果Safari的強力競爭，甚至被譏為過氣產品。

但南韓在十四年前以網路安全為由通過法律，要求國民必須透過IE使用網路銀行和網購。直到今天南韓仍有四分之三的用戶使用IE，所占比率全球最高。

廿五歲的設計系學生徐然鎬說：「我認識的每個人都用它。」
