In a partial project, the functions critical to the project (such as construction or engineering) are assigned to the project manager while other, support-oriented functions(such as procurement and accounting) remain within functional areas of the parent organization.

在一個部分計畫案裡，主功能（像是施工與工程）是計案經理負責，然而其他的支援功能（像是採購與會計）還是由（公司的）功能機構負責（而不獨立出來）。

Notes:
1. 當一個公司只負責一個大計畫案的一部分時叫做sub-contracting.
2. 這種案有時稱為＂a partial project＂
3. 案子沒有大到需要全職的支援功能（像是採購與會計）時，這些支援功能還是多保留在母單位。
