統一獅19日將在台南迎戰義大犀牛，廖文揚對戰賈西亞，另外獅隊表示23日將在台南球場舉辦「統一百威主題日」活動，邀請百威郎擔任當天猿獅戰的開球貴賓。

獅隊19日先發投手廖文揚本季戰績7勝3敗、防禦率3.36，對犀牛戰績2勝0敗、防禦率3.52，犀牛先發投手賈西亞本季戰績7勝6敗、防禦率2.55，連續10局沒有四死球，對獅隊戰績3勝3敗、防禦率2.74。

另外，獅隊表示8月23日台南棒球場將舉辦『統一百威主題日』，並邀請到百威女郎擔任猿獅比賽開球嘉賓，熱情的百威女郎將以什麼樣酷炫的方式入場？敬請期待。當天賽前，在場外將舉辦「百威高手啤酒推推樂」、「百威巧手啤酒乒乓」、「百威射手啤酒水槍」遊戲攤位，凡持當日比賽門票均可排隊體驗遊戲，將許多超值好禮帶回家。
