去年是自1999年以來，美國就業成長最好的一年。

根據美國勞工部最新數據顯示，去年美國創造了逾295萬個工作機會。

由於美國正試圖盡力擺脫大衰退與遲緩的復甦，因而這消息讓人鼓舞。許多經濟學家預期，對求職者而言，2015年將會同樣強勁，甚至更好。

美國12月失業率下降至5.6%，大幅低於2013年12月的6.7%，11月為5.8%。預期今年年底，美國失業率將進一步下降至5.2%，約相當於正常水平。

在經濟復甦期間，經濟學家擔憂，美國就業成長太慢，求職者可能飽受挫折，因而將退出勞動力。

但2014年，除二個月外，美國每個月新增就業均超過20萬人。12月尤其強勁，達25.2萬人，高於預估的23.6萬人。

「美國企業在大舉徵才，」BMO資本市場公司分析師Sal Guatieri說。「這明顯顯示，經濟成長較復甦的前四年，強勁得多。」
