為讓國人深入了解國軍官兵農曆春節期間堅守崗位、戰力戰訓實況，國防部27日上午邀請國內、外媒體至新竹湖口營區，參訪部隊操演。值得注意的是，演習最後出動心戰喊話車勸最後未投降的敵軍投降，引起媒體關注。

陸軍六軍團指出，心戰喊話車具喊話距離強大穿特力之特性，可搭配戰車攻擊時對敵實施威嚇性及招降性喊話，瓦解敵人精神戰力，另外可對我軍實施安撫性喊話，以強化我抗敵意志。

由悍馬吉普車改裝的心戰喊話車在演習時對敵大喊，「不要作無謂的抵抗了，趕快投降，國軍會保障你們的安全。」542旅戰二營中校營長蔡豐德表示，心戰喊話車上的喊話員不只有男性，連女性都有。
