華碩的 Transformer Book 在今年加入 Chi（氣）的元素，升級推出更方便拆拔的變形平板 T300 Chi 與 T100 Chi，內裝採用 Intel 針對平板筆電設計的 Core M 處理器，讓平板本身變得更輕薄，改良後的磁吸式轉軸也讓變型平板的體驗更上一層，整體設計進步不少。

Transformer Book T300 Chi 定位為平板、筆電二合一的裝置，螢幕可與鍵盤分離作為獨立的平板使用。有別於以往 Transformer Book 系列需要按下按鈕才能分離螢幕與鍵盤的設計，最新的 T300 Chi 改以磁吸式的轉軸連接，使用者只要在筆電張開時握住螢幕向上方拉，就能輕鬆分離，比起以往的按鍵式更加直覺。
由於二合一的平板筆電常常都是螢幕的重量大於鍵盤的重量，外出放在腿上使用時容易因為晃動造成螢幕向後傾倒，華碩注意到這點，因此這次特別為藍芽鍵盤增加配重，即使不是在平坦的桌面上使用電腦，也不用擔心螢幕傾倒的問題，不過也由於這樣的設計，雖然 T300 Chi 平板本身重量只有 720 克重，以 13 吋的平板來說算是十分輕巧，但加上鍵盤基座就會達到近 1.5 公斤重，對於攜帶而言稍嫌重了一些，外出時還是會只想帶平板就好。
T300 Chi 外觀採用霧面設計，少了一點金屬外殼的冰冷感覺，邊框利用 CNC 數控切削做出菱角斜面，看起來頗具質感，稍嫌美中不足的是由於機身超薄只有 7.6mm 厚，因此耳機孔的位置會稍微超出邊框上，完美主義的人看到可能會有些微詞，超薄的機身也犧牲了 USB 連接埠，雖然包裝中已附上 USB 轉接線，不過由於孔數有限，若要同時插隨身碟或是外接滑鼠就會略顯不便。
