說到螢幕閃爍，通常最先想到的就是螢幕更新率，不過現在的液晶螢幕產品並不像傳統 CRT 是逐條掃描，所以基本上並不存在螢幕更新率過低會閃爍的問題，這裡所指的不閃爍，還是得回歸到 LED 背光源去解決，既然是光源，那麼就會有明暗的區別，多數螢幕的 LED 背光，是透過 PWN 的方式來調光，讓 LED 透過反覆亮暗來進行亮度的調整，亮度調得越暗，那麼 LED 反覆亮暗的頻率就會下降，而容易被人眼感知到，造成閃爍的感覺，雖然不一定很明顯，眼睛仍會因此容易疲倦，廠商是透過直流電與迴路設計來改善，從硬體端去解決，所以是一翻兩瞪眼的事，沒有不閃屏功能的螢幕，我們幾乎不可能透過其他方式實現，所以只能乖乖付錢買了。

螢幕發展至今，從早期的 CRT 到現在的液晶螢幕，除了體積的大幅縮減外，液晶螢幕不像 CRT 會產生輻射影響視力，也成為當時螢幕要改朝換代最流行的宣傳術語，少了輻射好健康，沒想到現在人家卻說液晶螢幕的藍光好可怕，面對廠商前仆後繼的推出所謂護眼螢幕，關於這點我們該怎麼看呢？
