英國央行周四決議維持債券購買計劃金額不變，並維持基準利率於記錄低點0.5%不變，該利率自2009年3月以來，一直維持於0.5%。

英國央行貨幣政策委員會(MPC)維持資產購買金額於3750億英鎊(5850億美元)不變。

英國央行9月4日的會議記錄將於9月18日(周三)公布。

該央行曾說，將維持利率於低點，至少直到英國失業率降至低於7%。而失業率低於7%，預期要到2016年才會出現。

然而，因英國公布系列經濟數據讓人鼓舞，金融市場擔憂英國央行可能提前升息。
