Epson發表耐溫車用封裝集線器IC

【吳秀樺／台北報導】精工愛普生（Epson）宣布發表的汽車應用S2R72A4系列USB集線器IC，已開始出貨。本系列耐溫區間領先業界規格，可運作介於攝氏零下40度到105度的環境，加上48針QFN封裝，有效縮小40%*2安裝面及高度。

Epson指出，由於汽車電子系統不斷擴充，零件供應商勢必縮減板裝零件的安裝面與高度以增加空間容積，而S2R72A4系列所採用的微型封裝，於設計時就考量了這點，48針QFN封裝(7 mm x 7 mm)的安裝面，比48針QFP封裝(9 mm x 9 mm)減少近40%的面積，高度也同步縮減40%(從1.7 mm減少為1.0 mm)。
