【王覺一／綜合報導】金鶯過去5場輸了4場，拚季後賽幾乎已沒有退路，今天全力出擊，岡薩雷茲(Miguel Gonzalez)先發5.1局失1分，4名牛朋聯手力保不失分，加上瓦倫西亞(Danny Valencia)適時敲出2分打點二壘打，終場以3比1力克藍鳥。由於美聯外卡領先都遊騎兵與光芒同日輸球，金鶯與兩隊的勝差縮小至2.5場。
