竹林大橋半通車 明年中可望完工

〔自由時報記者黃美珠／芎林報導〕新竹縣連結芎林鄉與竹東鎮的竹林大橋下游側車道昨天開放通行，車道寬十五公尺，暫劃南、北雙向混合車道各一線供使用，至於舊竹林大橋上游側車道仍在整建，預定明年七月中以後才可望全線通車。

在參拜、獻花等祈福儀式後，縣長邱鏡淳、副議長林為洲等人，一起推動芎林鄉百歲人瑞陳呂林妹、呂劉彬妹的輪椅，共同走過通車區，象徵福氣滿滿、長長久久。

新竹縣府表示，竹林大橋整建工程款高達八億七千多萬，主體採斜張鋼纜、大跨距的設計，橋長八百五十五點三公尺、橋寬卅公尺，比舊橋多了十公尺的寬度。

竹林大橋整建工程去年四月一日開工後，期間多次因風災造成施工困難，昨天下游側終於可以先行通車。
