　（軍聞社記者蔡宗恆臺北二日電）國防部常務次長沈一鳴中將今日強調，國軍仍依現行防空識別區範圍執行空防安全任務，官兵捍衛主權的立場堅定，將持續戮力戰備整備工作，提升整體作戰能力

　沈一鳴晚間出席國防部臨時記者會時表示，「防空識別區」僅具「象徵」與「宣示」意涵，國際間並未制定規範，故各國所主張之範圍界線並不一致，概以雷達涵蓋及空防能力所及為界。

　沈一鳴表示，民國48年，美方考量往返琉球及菲律賓間軍機，常因偏航進入我防空識別區東南隅，造成我空防困擾，我國遂將北緯22度30分、東經123度至北緯21度、東經121度30分兩點相連以西區域，劃定為「臺灣防空識別區」至今。

　面對中共劃設「東海防空識別區」，沈一鳴強調，國軍將持續加強我防空識別區內情監偵，掌握海空動態，爭取預警，以為因應，對於進入之不明機、艦，也將執行攔截、監視任務，確保我空防安全。
