1.No sweat!

(X) 別流汗！
(O) 別擔心！

sweat是「汗」的意思，當我們擔心著急、緊張不安的時候，往往容易流汗。no sweat就是告訴對方這是小事一樁，別擔心。

例句：The entrance examination is a piece of cake. So no sweat, you definitely will pass it. （入學考很簡單，所以別擔心，你絶對會通過的。）

2.Hang in there!

(X) 掛在那裡！
(O) 撐著點！

hang是「掛」的意思，但hang in there可不是要人把衣物「掛在那裡」，而是鼓勵對方「撐著點」。

例句：When I told my parents that my job is tiring and I want to quit it, they encouraged me to hang in there. （當我告訴爸媽我的工作讓人累到想辭掉，他們鼓勵我撐下去。）

3.I am with you.

(X) 我和你一起。
(O) 我支持你。

如果要表達I support you、I agree with you、I am on your side，更口語的講法就是I am with you。

例句：A：Stealing is a serious matter. I decide to take a hard line.（偷竊是很嚴重的事，我決定採取強硬態度。）

B： I am with you.（我支持你。）

4.No pain, no gain.

(X) 沒有痛，沒有得到。
(O) 沒有付出，就沒有收穫。

在國外的健身房常可看到這句話，意思就是在激勵人們不要怕辛苦，堅持下去就會有所收穫。

例句：There’s a saying, “No pain, no gain.” Therefore, I brace my heart to prepare for tomorrow’s presentation.（有道是：「沒有付出，就沒有收穫。」因此我打起精神準備明天的簡報。）
