（中央社南韓珍島19日綜合外電報導）搭載476人的南韓客輪歲月號16日上午9時左右在西南沿海翻覆沉沒，截至昨晚有174人獲救、還有274人失蹤。法新社報導，船長李準石今天凌晨已被當局逮捕。

南韓檢察官和警方昨天申請逮捕令，欲逮捕52歲的李準石（Lee Joon-seok，譯音）、三級航海師朴某和舵手。當局證實，至今有28人不幸遇難。

南韓「聯合新聞通訊社」今天凌晨報導，船長已經被捕。

他被控5項罪名，包括涉嫌未盡到船長或船員職責而使乘客遇難、涉嫌遺棄致死、因工作過失導致客輪沉沒、及違反「海難救助法」。

根據2013年7月新增的相關法律條例，船長李準石最高可能被判處無期徒刑或5年以上有期徒刑。

報導說，木浦地方法院已對三人發出逮捕令。

三級航海師朴某和舵手涉嫌遺棄致死、因工作過失導致客輪沉沒、違反「海難救助法」。逮捕令下達後，檢方可對3人進行最長30天的拘留調查。

多名獲救者表示，包括船長在內的部分船員於事故發生後立刻棄船逃生，調查本部也對事故當時的視訊進行了確認。(中央社)
