台北市民政局今天表示，已建議內政部新增國際電話號碼886-2-81958151，提供民眾在國外掛失身分證。

民政局指出，目前身分證掛失方式有數種，包含本人親自至任一戶政事務所辦理掛失或撥打電話向戶籍地戶政事務所掛失，也可由本人撥打24小時服務的1996內政服務熱線，由服務人員於上班時間轉接戶籍地戶政事務所辦理掛失；如遇下班時間也可直接由專門的電話掛失服務人員受理。

不過，台北市大同區戶政事務所近日接獲長期居住國外的民眾透過電子郵件表示，身分證委由家人保管後不慎遺失，由於無法到駐外使館授權辦理，又因時差無法於戶政事務所上班時間以電話辦理掛失，且1996專線僅適用於國內，無法以國際電話撥通。

因此，大同戶所人員主動發函，建議內政部於1996內政服務熱線「國民身分證電話掛失辦理方式」新增國際電話號碼886-2-81958151，提供民眾國外掛失專線的訊息。

民政局說，主動建議內政部新增國際電話號碼後，4月獲內政部採納及新增完畢，解決民眾焦慮，不僅確保出國民眾的權益，也間接阻斷有心人士的不法行為。(中央社)
