黃金期貨未能守住漲幅，周一跌破每盎司1200美元關卡。

紐約2月黃金下跌16.20美元，或1.4%，至每盎司1179.8美元。3月白銀下跌34.2美分，或2.1%，至每盎司15.688美元。

黃金價格早場隨原油價格上漲，但中場走勢反轉。原油價格亦下跌，股市則上漲，耶誕節前，交易清淡。

該二金屬上周大幅收低，黃金下跌2.2%，白銀大跌6%。分析師說，該跌勢係因原油價格近來下挫，美元兌其他貨幣上漲。原油為全球交易量最大商品，其他商品因而追隨其走勢。

其他金屬交易中，1月白金下跌14.90美元，或1.2%，至每盎司1182.10美元。3月鈀金上漲10.15美元，或1.3%，至每盎司815.25美元。

3月銅下跌1.2美分至每磅2.8748美元。

周三，金屬市場將提前收市。周四為耶誕節假日，市場休市。
