Apple新產品將上市，其他手機大廠也競相推出新旗艦機，相較之下，宏達電似乎是沒有動靜，面對強敵競爭，董事長王雪紅則是強調，「相信不久的將來大家將會看到HTC的新產品」，她表示，股價只是過去式，看的是未來，將來會積極布局大陸市場，宏達電也公告已買回庫藏股2700張，股價10日出現反彈，早盤開高走高，漲幅逾半根停板。
王雪紅9日出席亞太城市高峰會(APCS)演講，會後媒體針對前陣子涉嫌洩漏公司機密的設計部副總曾表示：「HTC沒有他會倒」提問，王雪紅說，「每個員工都是一個孩子，孩子做錯事父母都會傷心，孩子做錯事也應受罰」。她強調，「一個公司不會因為一個人的行為而受影響，HTC培養優秀的工程師與設計師，對於這件事公司也感到傷心」。
有關股價下跌一事，王雪紅也說，股價只是過去式，看的是未來，將來會積極布局大陸市場，最近的員工洩密案不會影響公司運作。至於蘋果新品將上市，王雪紅也是信心滿滿的指出，「相信不久的將來大家將會看到HTC的新產品」。
宏達電正在執行庫藏股的買回，預計從8月5日至10月4日，買回1.5萬張，買回價格區間設定為140-290元，宏達電公告指出，已買回2700張，金額達3.56億元，平均買回價格132.03元。
宏達電9日股價持續破底，盤中數度跌停至122元，創近9年新低，終場以126元作收，成交量暴增至3萬張，市場推估，應是庫藏股買進的力道加強，進場護持股價。
在王雪紅公開消毒強調洩密案不影響營運及運作，不久將推新品，且力挺執行長周永明，同時也重申，宏達電不會被併購的立場，宏達電10日股價出現止跌，早盤以129元開高，股價一路走高，早盤衝達132元，漲幅近4%。
