中信兄弟5日上午開訓，目前可以確定的是選秀會前三輪選進的鄭凱文、謝榮豪、林威助都不會參加，另外，陳鴻文與周思齊2人也應該不會參加開訓，總教練謝長亨希望可以全員到齊的願望，恐怕要落空。

草總在元旦投捕開訓時，曾指出近日新球團會陸續與球員談薪，同時也會與選秀會選進的新人談合約，所以希望5日正式開訓時，能夠全員到齊。

兄弟在去年選秀會共選進鄭凱文、謝榮豪、林威助、王梓安、陳家駒、江信德、黃思漢、郭峰竣等8名球員，據了解，比較受矚目的鄭凱文、謝榮豪、林威助3人，都還未談妥合約，所以5日開訓，他們3人不會參加。

周思齊是自由球員，在還沒談定新合約之前，也不會參加兄弟隊的春訓，至於陳鴻文，草總表示「陳鴻文告訴球團，他的手臂有點不適，所以先自行復健、調整」。

兄弟去年開賽前有45名本土球員，季中選秀簽下王則鈞及陳子豪2人，季後與葉丁仁等4人解約，目前還有43名本土球員，若選秀會8人全部加入，將有51名本土球員。
