世青跆拳賽不但各國好手過招的戰場，也是兩大護具廠商Daedo與KP＆P角力的地盤，最近WTF力推的電子護頭，兩家廠商也在裁判與相關人員面前進行測試。

西班牙廠商Daedo的電子護頭，已經先行一步在之前的美國公開賽與瑞典公開賽測試過，中華隊部份世青國手也被抽中進行測試。

不過電子護頭要正式上路，還有一段很長的路要走，中華隊總教練陳維新先前表示，電子護頭靈敏度過高，攻擊沒有命中，但造成護頭搖晃也會判定有得分。

國內跆拳道賽事一直是兩家護具交替使用，下個月的全中運，從上屆的Daedo改為KP＆P，不少學校為此臨時添購KP＆P護具。

這次青奧資格賽國選採用KP＆P，而青奧資格賽採用Daedo，中華隊為此也有所因應，集訓時採兩套護具並用。
