韓國第二大入口網站 Daum 與即時通訊廠商 Kakao 合併為 Daum Kakao，市值高達新台幣 900 億

07d67e7e1ba50749ecc39cb168c36b15 韓國第二大門戶網站Daum今日宣布將與韓國第一行動端IM Kakao Talk的母公司Kakao合併成為Daum Kakao，由於Kakao尚未上市，目前難以估計合併後的Daum Kakao的市值，不過據猜測Daum Kakao的市值可能會達3兆韓元（約合29.30億美元、約新台幣 900 億 ）。

兩家公司於本月23 號簽訂合併協議，並將於今年8 月召開股東大會，預計在10 月1 日前完成合併。合併後，Daum 的1600 多名員工和Kakao 的600 多人員工將全部成為Daum Kakao 2200 多名員工。

本次合併對雙方都能帶來諸多利益。Daum 曾是韓國第一大門戶網站，而後被主打搜尋業務的入口網站Naver 超過。現在Daum 擁有了Kakao talk 這個籌碼，或許能在移動端上劫擊Naver。而對Kakao 來說，除了得到Daum 的內容和更成熟的管理體系外，也能夠提升其國際地位，在國際市場上走的更遠。
