英國公開賽進行首輪賽事，台灣球員曾雅妮狀況不理想爆出82(+10)桿，這是她征戰LPGA生涯單輪最差成績；首輪領先者是日本選手上原彩子的68(-4)桿。

曾雅妮的巔峰時期，曾經在2010年、2011年連續2年贏得英國公開賽冠軍，現在這位來自台灣的前世界球后，仍處在生涯低潮。

英國公開賽首輪曾雅妮只有2隻小鳥，慘吞7柏忌1雙柏忌1三柏忌，收在82(+10)桿創下LPGA生涯單輪最差成績，想要跨過次輪的晉級線相當有難度。

日本選手上原彩子打出68(-4)桿，是首輪結束的領先者，她說：「今天推桿是成功關鍵，前幾週發揮得不好，導致有些博蒂機會沒能掌握。本週感覺很好，我自己也很有信心。」

球后Stacy Lewis首輪71(-1)桿並列第6名，她認為自己的表現有些起伏，「今天狀況有點混亂，我沒有打得很出色，有時能打出好球、有時則不行，也有幾次推桿還不錯。總之，我要做的就是把球打進洞。」
