港前特首董建華發聲明　學生盡快離開

香港前特首、中國政協副主席董建華今天發表聲明，呼籲年輕人盡快撤離示威區，以策安全。
 
《香港電台》報導，董建華指出，街頭抗爭活動往往會有預見不到的複雜變化，不但影響學生的學業和前途，還可能危及安全。佔領行動已進入第8日，情況愈來愈複雜，他表示自己跟香港很多父母和老師一樣，整天憂心忡忡，擔心學生的安全。

董建華又指，學生是香港的未來，相信他們除了理想和執著之外，也有勇氣和智慧。他呼籲學生拿出勇氣與智慧，積極平和地去了解不同的意見。（余浚安／綜合外電報導）
