蟈蟈的驚人聽力

南美洲有一種生活在樹叢中的蟈蟈，牠的耳朵長度還不到１毫米，但結構跟人的耳朵十分相似。這種昆蟲可以分辨從很遠的地方傳來的不同頻率的聲音。例如，牠們能够把另一隻蟈蟈的叫聲，跟一隻覓食的蝙蝠發出的超聲波區分開來。

想一想：這種蟈蟈的耳朵長在兩條前腿上，可以把聲波收集、轉換、分析音頻，功能就像人的耳朵一樣。科學家在牠們的耳朵裏發現了一個特别的囊，外形像個長氣球，裏面充滿了高壓液體，科學家稱之為聽覺囊。這個囊就像哺乳動物耳朵中的耳蝸，可是比哺乳動物的耳蝸小得多。蟈蟈之所以有驚人的聽力，全靠這個聽覺囊。
