不知道你有沒有聽過 OpenOffice.org 這一套免費的文書處理軟體呢？這是一套比美微軟Office的開放源始碼的免費文書處理工具，他包含了文書處理(Writer)、試算表(Calc)、簡報(Impress)、繪圖(Draw)、資料庫(Base)及數學工具(Math)，而且也亦兼容Microsoft Office的檔案格式，並且可以將文件輕易地輸出成flash、pdf等格式。

不過，這套軟體賣給了昇陽後，昇陽又賣給了Oracle，而原本的開發社群高手們為了怕原先的OpenOffice.org 被冷落，於是「離家出走」創造了LibreOffice，一樣保有開放原始碼的精神，而且用法則是完全跟OpenOffice.org一樣，開發進度甚至比OpenOffice.org快很多，畢竟大公司的文化通常都是比較龜毛(No，我是說嚴謹)一點的呀！當然也推薦你趕快從OpenOffice.org跳槽過來吧！
