獼猴暴增作物損失慘　嘉縣建議安樂死

數量近30萬隻的台灣獼猴肆虐山區，重創農作物收成，嘉義縣府邀相關單位研商防治對策，如捕捉到危害農林作物的獼猴，是否能比照動物保護法公告逾12日無人認領、即予安樂死的規定辦理。

今日出版的《自由時報》報導，嘉義縣梅山、竹崎、番路、中埔、大埔及阿里山等山區鄉鎮，近年因台灣獼猴族群數量暴增，嚴重危害農作物，農民心血損失慘重，怨聲四起。縣府日前集思廣益，擬定對策。討論後達成由縣府函請農委會釋示，如捕捉到危害農林作物的獼猴，是否能比照動物保護法公告逾12日無人認領、即予安樂死。保育團體則認為既不人道，也無法解決問題。（方翊倩／綜合報導）
