擔任德國總統僅19個月、2012年2月辭職的沃爾夫撰書陳述他辭職前後的心路歷程。最近完成的新書「峰頂谷底」（Ganz obenGanz unten）將於6月中旬出版。

沃爾夫（Christian Wulff）就任總統不久就遭受政界和媒體嚴厲批判，懷疑他與商界間有利益輸送之嫌。2010年德國媒體爆料，沃爾夫在擔任下薩克森邦總理時曾經向商界人士周轉金錢，而綠黨籍議員因疑其政商關係在議會中提出質詢時，他又多所隱瞞。

沃爾夫與商界人士可能涉及利益輸送的問題被下薩克森邦的檢察官起訴。去年初，沃爾夫在重大的壓力下宣布辭職。

官司纏訟年餘，今年2月法庭判決他無罪，可是，媒體持續報導他難以釐清的政商關係，以及身為國家元首卻面對貪污調查，沃爾夫的政治誠信已經破產。

對於一連串的事件，沃爾夫認為自己被陷害。他的發言人告訴德國媒體，在「峰頂谷底」這本書裡，他會說明整個事件是有計劃的陷害。

他也會談到當時媒體對他的態度。2011年1家德國1家銷路頗大平面媒體大幅報導沃爾夫的政商關係有問題，他竟然語帶威脅地打電話給編輯主管，使得事態愈鬧愈大，甚至令他幾乎成為媒體公敵。(中央社)
