我的主管今早前往日本了。
(X) My supervisor left to Japan this morning.
(O) My supervisor left for Japan this morning.
從原本的所在地動身前往另一個目的地，可以說go to或者leave for，兩者的介系詞請勿混淆。例：We are leaving for New York next Monday. 我們將在下週一啟程前往紐約。
