中華隊拿到21U世界棒球賽冠軍，這批年輕球員的表現，讓許多人刮目相看，其中又以曹佑寧最讓人意外，賽前，可能很多人都沒想到，曹佑寧能有那麼有的表現。

曹佑寧因拍攝電影「KANO」走紅，他也因此有一年的時間沒打球，回到球場之後，很快地就入選這次21U中華隊，集訓期間，總教練郭李建夫看到曹佑寧的表現，很快地就決定讓他守中外野，打第一棒，郭李對曹佑寧的身手可說是讚不絕口。

但外界對曹佑寧不免還是有所質疑，這讓他承受了很大的壓力，師長及親朋好友的鼓勵，他都銘記在心，21U開打之後，曹佑寧的表現很搶眼，他說最大的感想是「頂住了壓力」。

曹佑寧的表現，連效力火腿隊的旅日球員陽岱鋼也感佩服，陽岱鋼說曹佑寧一年沒打球，重返球場還能有那麼好的表現，真的是太厲害了。在陽岱鋼眼中，曹佑寧是天才。
