英國一份受刑人調查顯示，獄中性侵、賣淫等問題嚴重。獄政改革組織呼籲當局正視問題，並盡快想出解決辦法。

英國學者、前典獄長及健康專家向數名出獄受刑人進行調查，發現獄中淫亂風氣盛行，性侵、賣淫事件頻傳。一名受刑人指出，入獄首日相當緊張，遂向獄警借「聖經」求心中平靜，未料獄警找不著聖經，竟遞本A書給他，還說「這有助於入眠」。

此外，另一名受刑人還透露，一名年輕受刑人不清楚自身實際性向，竟搬去與一名年長同性戀受刑人住，稱是要請對方協助弄清真實性向。

調查結果出爐後，獄政改革「Howard League for Penal Reform」呼籲當局正視獄中問題，並盡快提出相關改革方案。
