台中都會公園與大肚山學社，邀耆老依古法製傳統「紅土角」，今天砌「紅土花垣」，復育當地3種原生種薔薇，並製作大肚山地標。

長期研究維護大肚山區生態的大肚山學社社長吳金樹今天表示，大肚山頂無溪流、水圳，也無法鑿井，先民在紅土挖掘水堀，儲存雨水供水度過旱季。

早期當地居民會定期合作清理水堀淤積泥土，製成傳統建材「紅土角」，蓋「土角厝」。大肚山學社日前邀請地方耆老吳三慶，教導志工清理大肚山的牛頂頭水堀，挖出淤積的紅土，依古法製作一批「紅土角」。

吳金樹表示，根據研究台灣有9種原生種薔薇，大肚山有小果薔薇、大肚山薔薇、琉球野薔薇3種。其中，小果薔薇野外生長處所不到5處，2013年並於台中都會公園附近發現大批小果薔薇蹤跡，數量占全台8成以上，但好景不長，半年前在大肚山的開發工程，已破壞大半。

台中都會公園主任許亞儒與吳金樹動員近百人今天在都會公園門口，以古法製成的「紅土角」排列成「大肚山」字樣製作成公園地標，並砌成牆垣，取名為「紅土花垣」，作為復育原生薔薇的攀爬新處所。

許亞儒表示，希望來台中都會公園遊玩的民眾都能來體驗大肚山的自然文化美景；吳金樹指出，期盼台灣原生薔薇能與「紅土角」在大肚山能持續萌芽延續、傳承下去。(中央社)
