Lamigo桃猿下半季戰績3勝5敗，先發投手戰力出狀況，是很大的原因，14日洋投銳到醫院檢查之後，腿部拉傷的傷勢復元狀況良好，領隊劉玠廷說會等待銳傷癒歸隊。

銳本季回鍋，投出7勝，是桃猿上半季能封王的重要功臣，下半季銳因腳拉傷只投1場即下二軍休息，原本預估要休息1個月，最快歸隊時間是8月中旬，距離8月31日洋將登錄日期相當近，桃猿為求保險，將在7月底再找1名洋投來台。

洪總表示「真的很想繼續留下銳，畢竟他是我們上半季能拿冠軍的重要功臣」，現在桃猿兩個方案同時進行，第一是7月底前找新洋投，第二是將豪瑟拉上一軍隨隊觀察。

左投豪瑟已在二軍待了一段時間，在二軍出賽5場、先發4場，投21.1局，戰績1勝2敗、防禦率3.38，洪總表示「豪瑟一個人待在二軍很無聊，據說他很想家，所以會讓他隨一軍練球，就近了解他的狀況」。

銳跟王溢正都受傷，洪總說「王溢正可能要明星賽後才能回一軍」，因此桃猿先發投手戰力吃緊，目前只有洋投猛雷特及許銘傑是固定，加上應急的曾兆豪與王豐鑫，本周連第5號先發都找不出來，洪總表示先度過明星賽周再說吧。
