洛杉磯湖人客場之旅最終戰，9日將挑戰近況絕佳的克里夫蘭騎士，只是紫金軍現在的焦點似乎都不在球場上。

湖人前兩戰接連遭到密爾瓦基公鹿、奧蘭多魔術逆轉，總教練Byron Scott各種令人匪夷所思的調度，讓許多專家猜測是否有刻意輸球的嫌疑。

被質疑「擺爛」不是沒有原因，因為湖人今年選秀必須位居前5順位，才能正式得到先前從鳳凰城太陽手中換來的2015年首輪選秀籤。

另外，上場時間不固定的林書豪最近第「N」次傳出成為交易籌碼，雖然目前還找不到買家，在交易截止的20日前，「哈佛小子」可能都無法安心打球。

騎士先前才結束本季最長的12連勝，直到7日才因敗給印第安納溜馬而中斷，反觀湖人不僅該贏未贏，近13戰只贏了1場，球隊氣氛天壤之別，不用刻意「擺爛」也很難贏。

林書豪生涯對騎士出戰6場，平均攻下13.3分，當中作客2場，都是身披休士頓火箭戰袍時期，一場攻下20分，另一場得到13分，表現都不錯。
