台中市立委蔡錦隆於2月8日下午三點，與西屯區11里的里長，在台中市福雅里辦公室舉辦寒冬送暖愛心活動，希望拋磚引玉，讓社會上愛心人士有更多管道捐助物資，幫助弱勢。
  
台中市立委蔡錦隆表示，最近在臉書也開了網路服務系統，有需要的鄉親也可上網登記，希望不要掛一漏萬，尤其農曆年將至，他特別準備了千斤白米及地方士伸涂宗泰董事長等，提供大量物資及每位紅包1000元，發送給地方上有需要的鄉親，希望能讓鄉親過個好年。
 
蔡錦隆指出，平日就有在做公益活動，像是2月5日與台灣國際同濟會舉辦「愛心餐公益計畫」，結合餐飲店提供免費餐點讓中低收入戶及偏鄉孩童享用等活動，八日再與永安里、林厝里、福安里、福雅里、福林里、福瑞里、福聯里，福恩里，福中里，福和里、協和里的里長，舉辦寒冬送暖愛心活動。
