紐約尼克菜鳥Tim Hardaway Jr.本季表現不俗，算是沒有愧對他首輪第24籤的選秀順位，當然，更重要的是，沒有愧對父親。

Hardaway Jr.的父親正是前NBA球星「胯下運球之王」Tim Hardaway，老爸18日受訪時，終於說出世上每位兒子都想聽到的、來自爸爸的那句話。

「整個球季，我都以他為榮。」雖然曾效力邁阿密熱火的Hardaway，球員生涯與尼克總是死對頭，身為人父，終於還是對兒子說出鼓勵的話。

「他的表現超出所有人的預期，我為他感到非常高興。」Hardaway話鋒一轉，又回到那位嚴厲的父親身分，「他還有得學，還有很多功課得做呢。」

Hardaway對兒子是出了名的嚴苛，Hardaway Jr.不只一次在訪談中提到他在求學階段與父親的關係，不是上演「爸爸不在家」，就是因對籃球理念不合而冷戰。
