市長賴清德10日於區長會議中，要求市府同仁年底選舉保持行政中立，切勿知法犯法。

賴市長說，今年是縣市合併後的第一次選舉，請市府各局處主管及37區區長轉知所屬單位同仁要行政中立。他不會因為自己要參選而要求同仁助選，既為公務人員就要依法行政中立，只要各盡本分推動市政，做好為民服務，就是對他最大的幫助。

另外，由於汛期來臨，賴市長特別囑咐各區長，建置的緊急搶救機制應保持運作暢通。賴市長指出，今年市府防汛的基礎工作，如側溝已清理3000公里、雨水下水道也清理了92公里（1000多條下水道）、抽水站及200多台移動式抽水機也都到位；如果各區公所還有未到位的工作，請儘速與水利局或相關局處聯繫，務必做好萬全準備，讓市民的生命財產安全獲得保障。

賴市長也表揚102年度區公所環保義工業務運作督導成績優異的績優單位。第1組：第1名南區公所、第2名北區公所、第3名新營區公所。第2組：第1名後壁區公所、第2名柳營區公所、第3名麻豆區公所、第4名新市區公所。第3組：第1名玉井區公所、第2名南化區公所。
