南投縣20歲卓姓女學生，今天凌晨騎機車搭載友人行經埔里鎮隆生路、南環路口時，與一輛貨櫃車相撞，卓女當場無生命跡象。

南投縣埔里警分局初步調查，卓女凌晨5時多與20歲的王姓女學生共乘一部機車行經該路口，疑似未注意路口閃紅燈須減速查看，撞上30歲蔡姓男子所駕駛的貨櫃車頭側邊。卓女頭部重傷，當場無生命徵象，王女則只有身體多處擦傷，經送醫無大礙。

埔里分局表示，隆生路、南環路口當時為閃紅燈與閃黃燈號誌，卓女行經閃紅燈號誌須減速查看，蔡男所駕駛的貨櫃車雖行經閃黃燈路口，路權較大，但蔡男當時剛下貨結束正離開廠區，仍屬工作時間，檢方複訊後依業務過失致死罪嫌將蔡男送辦。

埔里分局表示，目前就讀彰化縣某私立大學的卓女、王女都是埔里鎮人，兩人從高中就是同班同學，感情要好。兩女這週末返回埔里要參加女童軍露營活動，不料卻發生交通意外。(中央社)
