平流層頂跳傘 谷歌主管破紀錄

（法新社華盛頓24日電） 谷歌（Google）1位主管今天由接近平流層頂端的約13萬5000英尺（4萬1000公尺）高空跳傘，縱身躍下速度打破音障，跳躍高度更打破兩年前1名極限運動家寫下的紀錄。

谷歌57歲資深副總裁尤斯特斯（Alan Eustace）的壯舉是平流層探索計畫（Stratospheric Explorerproject）的一部分，旨在讓載人探索任務前往約10萬英尺以上的平流層。

「完美太空發展公司」（Paragon SpaceDevelopment Corporation）聲明，尤斯特斯在新墨西哥州羅斯威爾（Roswell）上空，利用特別設計的太空裝和氣球組，帶著他至平流層，然後再用高空跳傘完成4小時任務。

聲明說：「尤斯特斯以每分鐘1000英尺速度上升，約兩個半小時後達到目標高度。」

先前的紀錄保持人是奧地利敢於挑戰死亡的極限運動家鮑加納（Felix Baumgartner），他2012年同樣在新墨西哥州上空的太空邊緣躍下，高度為近12萬8000英尺（約3萬8969公尺）。
