台中市長胡志強今天說，不會拒絕任何辯論會的邀請；最重要是選舉投票日，先前的民調都僅是參考作用。

台中市政府下午在台北舉辦「台中心動影像音樂會」媒體記者會，胡志強、導演齊柏林、長榮集團執行長聶國維、藝人林慶台牧師都出席。

會後媒體聯訪時，針對公開辯論，胡志強說，有公辦政見會，公視已在規劃，他並不反對；先前也公開表達不會拒絕任何辯論會的邀請。

對於外界質疑是否用市府資源替選舉行銷，胡志強說，不要過分渲染不必要的政治氣氛，好像做什麼都是為選舉。

他舉近期啟動獲不錯風評的台中市快捷巴士（BRT）表示，其實BRT早在3、4年前就決定，「自己在今年2月才決定參選」；即便是選舉，市政推動也不能停滯。胡志強希望不要什麼事都被扯上選舉，而建設BRT不是救選情，而是救交通。

媒體問到民調數據高低起伏，胡志強說，其實重要的是11月29日選舉投票日的結果，之前的民調都不需要談，都只是參考，不會把民調當行銷工具。

高雄氣爆災情部分，胡志強認為當前應全力協助救災，第一是撫卹，尤其6名消防隊員後續撫卹還未定案，應先幫遺孀找工作，讓生活安定；對災民持續照顧，政府要多做事少說話。(中央社)
